Mining and Superheating Gold Ore

I promised a few people that after 99 Mining I would make a video of me Mining… this is that video. The video demonstrates me mining, superheating and dropping gold bars, as well as moving to new gold rocks, activating urns and being attacked by the rock creatures and how to respond. With that being said, I manage about 90-95k Mining xp, and about 60-65k Smithing and Magic xp per hour, including banking and changing rocks etc. Not much to say that won’t be stating the obvious but what ever. I’m Mining in the Living Rock Caverns (LRC) which are located under the Dwarven Mines. There are four gold rock deposits that require a mining level of 80 to mine and will give either 1-2 ores at a time (or 1-3 ores if you’re wearing Varrock armour 2-4), each ore giving a base of 65 Mining xp. Things to bring: A dragon pickaxe, it is approx. 15% better than a rune pickaxe and highly recommended. A staff of fire, lava staff or steam staff should be used to replace the fire runes required to cast the superheat item spell. The superheat item spell when cast on a gold ore will grant 22.5 Smithing xp (or 56.2 xp with goldsmith gauntlets, which are obtained after completing the Family Crest quest and highly recommended) and 53 Magic xp. Goldsmith gauntlets, as mentioned, are obtained from the Family Crest quest and grant 56.2 Smithing xp per gold ore you superheat. These are highly recommended as without them you will be receiving less than half the Smithing xp. Varrock armour 2-4 will be

    are you getting maxed combat or staying same?

  2. DR0WNS says:

    @Daiiley I’ll be getting Magic and Strength xp from superheating/alching and barbarian fishing, but that’s as much combat xp as I’ve got planned for now. I’ll actually start training combat when I’m done with skilling.

    Isn’t it easier to use the resizable method? I’ve tried both and I prefer resizable by far.

  5. DR0WNS says:

    @haimonek I guess, but as long as you re-click the rock in the same tick that you drop the bar it doesn’t really matter.

    @DR0WNS my mousekeys dont seem to work right, my mouse dosent make on big jump like yours but some small random ones, yes i do hold ctrl down all the time theres somthing else wrong :( do you know?

  16. DR0WNS says:

    @TonyBeLol I’m Australian!

  17. DR0WNS says:

    @skude3 The only things I can think of that are used to adjust the jump distance would be the “top speed” in the mouse keys settings and the “pointer speed” in the normal mouse settings. Try play around with those. If that doesn’t help then I’m not sure what the problem is, sorry. :/
