House of El – Superman – Luxeon LED Lightsaber – Crystal Focus 4.1
Built for a customer who wanted a Superman themed lightsaber Story: An ancient family heirloom / weapon that superman found it in the wreckage of his ship hidden in a secret compartment, with the S-shaped family crest representing the House of El (Superman’s family line) – the Kryptonian interpretation is 5 yellow symbols on a red diamond shaped background that is a symbol for hope. In effect, the actual Kryptonian symbol is not the “S” shape, but rather the negative space, the shapes “around” the “S”. Really nice saber. The Force of Earth’s Yellow Sun is Strong With You
Very talented–great work…but WHY take a Star Wars weapon and put it in D.C.’s universe??? Just seems a bit silly to me. Star Wars is it’s own FRANCHISE–leave it at that.
This is really cool if only the superman theme was not on it…
For all the “haters”, if you read he say’s it is a CUSTOMER saber. That means someone wanted to combine two of his loves. You may not like it, but it is not for YOU. That is what makes this hobby so cool, you can built/ commission a saber any way you want. Although i would have to agree on having a Superman font there somewhere, but that can always be added later if the customer chooses to do so.
@Zillaman67 Why not?
@Zillaman67 seems weird is all..I love BOTH Star Wars and Superman–can’t wait for ‘The Man of Steel’ flick–the new costume is TITS!!!
@crocketgsxr6 Don’t have a cow man–it’s all good. I made a Green Lantern lava lamp…I guess some would find that silly too–but it looks cool as shit! In the end–the CUSTOMER is ALWAYS right! And money talks…
@Zillaman67 ohhh Green Lantern Lava lamp!! SWEET! I wasn’t trying to be mean, I guess I was just in a zone. plus it didn’t help my mojo that I was wearing a superman t-shirt and watching the Clone Wars cartoon at the time.
@crocketgsxr6 It’s all good man, no worries! Like I said-the guy is VERY talented! I’d LOVE to get a custom saber for dueling and all-I only have the Anakin FX Lightsaber w/removable blade (which I cherish)-but I’m afraid to try dueling with it. I heard you get blackout rings and it messes up the plate connection with the blade. Maybe someday–when I can afford a custom jobber! Maybe I’ll post a vid of my Green Lantern lava lamp one day-it did come out pretty cool. Next up-Godzilla lava lamp!
OMG I WANT ONE !!!!!!!!!!
pretty sweet
@Zillaman67 A lot of the same people worked on Star Wars and Superman, and they are not mutually explusive. On the trip to Earth Jor-El said the early history of the universe was a bloody mosaic of intergalactic war. That ship passed through 6 of 28 known galaxies, any of which could be the Star Wars one, yet I think it would be M33. Just cause people were forbidden to leave Krypton doesn’t mean they never had before.
@CaptainArrrgh exclusive/ not esplusive, sorry
@CaptainArrrgh Very nicely put & great imagination-would make a nice crossover story-arc.–you should bewriting for D.C. (and I should be painting/drawing covers for them dammit-lol!)…are you as psyched as I am for ‘The Man of Steel?’ Costume looks GREAT! While I did NOT hate ‘Superman Returns’ (like alot of folks seem to),I expected more from Singer action-wise. I also did not like the new ‘S’ emblem too much–too small.
ajajajajajaj
okei
@Zillaman67 Yeah I’m looking forward to any new superman stuff, and the pics I saw look good. Superman Returns was only hard on me eyes because it was presented like it was meant to be part of the former cannon and required a lot of suspension of disbelief to do it. Mostly in that characters all looked younger than they should have and the Superman I knew wouldn’t have fallen for the trick. And the costume cut was also hard on the eyes, as well as the fabric
Now I think that M33 is the star wars galaxy because it’s the right distance and type, for the connection presented in ET material.
@CaptainArrrgh Yeah-it seems ever since the Spiderman films that sort of fabric became ‘in’…BTW-hope they don’t screw Spidey up with the ‘re-boot’-although Spiderman 3 pretty much stunk. They RUINED Venom’s character. I really enjoyed Green Lantern’s film-some people didn’t, but I loved it-especially the ‘Extended Cut’ on Blu-Ray. GL had been a big fave of mine along with Supe & Bats for 30 years now. Looking forward to Nolan’s new Bats flick. Also Wonder Woman! Had the hots for he as a kid!
NICE!!!!!!!!! except for the voice part.
@Zillaman67 The 3rd Spidy movie would have been good if they hadn’t ruined the black costume so bad. Sure they went the way of the cartoon, to shorten the story, rather than having him find it during the secret wars, and that could have been okay, but the lines on it took all the aesthetics the Real black suit had, away. And he wore it quite a while before having to get rid of it. I liked it.
@CaptainArrrgh changing comic storylines/origins for film is something we have to accept. Can’t fit it all into a 120 min. film sometimes. But Raimi KILLED the black suit–it was identical to the regular Spidey suit–just black. Costume redux’s I HATE. Look what they are doing to Hawkeye for ‘Avengers’! Black leather (X-Men all over again), and NO MASK. These directors THINK they know better-they don’t. Keep it true I say. The black suit should not have had webbing, and needed the BIG spider!
@Zillaman67 I have a T shirt of how it was actually supposed to look. A lot of people think it’s a Venom shirt, but there was one of those made at the same time, with more of a silver type spider than the white one on Spidy’s
Great !!
@bluetorch13 /dumped
lightsabers belong to Star Wars ex. universe you suckers.. not fuckin DC comics…
