Geneology when you don't know your father's family.?
Damn I hate asking questions, there goes another 5 points… ANYWAY…
I’m trying to trace my family roots but I have encountered una problema: My Dad’s side of the family is completely unknown to me, because not only have I never met him, but he never met his father so yeah… No one knows that side of the family’s history, apart from them being English. Is there anyway to work around this? I am really REALLY interested in what my bloodline is, especially because I don’t look very British even though I should be ~ 75% british. In truth people think I look middle eastern, russian or greek, even though I’m (supposedly) ~75% english, 12.5% (jewish) german, 6.25% irish and 6.25% russian. Any ideas as how to find my bloodline’s history? Any crazy Dr. Who-esque inventions? Anything? All help appreciated, but keep in mind I have tried many geneology websites.
